The Painting
The Painting

The brushstrokes drift across the ready canvass,
And unfold before the watching eyes,
A scene so bright and beautiful
Like golden fields and expansive skies.
The artist adds colors with masterfully chosen hue,
That reveals the heart, the hope and the love.
A scene so deep and meaningful,
Like mountain's majesty and clouds above.
How swiftly the painting takes its form,
And embraces shape as everyone eagerly gazes,
A scene so full of life and promise
Like a sleeping deer methodically wakes and raises.
A life is a beautiful gift created with a world to explore,
That explodes with display of the one who all things knows
A scene so rich and full of vigor
As the child who comes from birth and grows.
