Learning How To Write a Haiku

Recently, I challenged myself through a 20 word limit poetry contest to write a Haiku, which generally I have never liked.

I did some reading on how to write a haiku, and then posted the following for the contest:

Breath comes richly
fills my lung, my soul with life
till all is gone

Further reading, and comments from contest moderator led me to make the following changes:


Breath comes in richly
fills lungs, my soul with life, till
death comes in boldly

I like this one.  And, it follows the "rules" of Haiku writing.  Check out the links below and post one of your own here.
